Have you heard about HR 875/S425? This is scary legislation which will make it difficult to impossible to pick up organic produce from roadside stands, farmer’s markets, even CSAs! Could it even affect home gardeners? It should surprise no one that this bill is being sponsored by Monsanto.

Of course, this bill is being touted as designed to protect us, consumers. How can putting businesses and small farmers that produce organic fruits and vegetables out of business be good for us? It can’t, obviously. What the bill will protect is Big Agribusiness and we cannot allow this to happen.
